Data logging & processing
Your control systems collects a wealth of information, however this information is only available for a few seconds and used to control and monitor your system. Via EVDL you are able to log, analyze and store data from your control system and put it to purpose of predictive maintenance.
So it’s a datalogger? Well no, the EVDL is much more than that... besides logging data (up to 1 Tb) from virtually any control system, the EVDL is able to do (real-time) complex calculation and make analyses on datasets to predict degradation or error situations.
Why is this so special? Because degradation occurs over longer periods in time. The device is capable to find trends and situation that might cause system failure. Besides long term analyses it also does real-time FFT and RMS value analyses.
EVDL combines complex tasks with ease of configuration and programming. The device can be linked to 3th party maintenance system or just any (custom) (cloud based) application.
- Web interface for configuration & visualization
- Ethernet interface
- Native Siemens S7 communication
- OPC-UA client communication
- 32Gb internal flash memory
- Backup battery which enables full operation for at least 5 days without external power supply
- 9 - 24 VDC powersupply required
- Configuration via Bluetooth LE
Options Most common application of the EDVL is to place the EDVL inside an existing control cabinet.
The EDVL has an IP50 qualification hence should be protected. UVS offers standard enclosures including powersupply, wall mount, cable glands and antenna throughput.
Local Analyses
Why should you use up all your bandwidth to transfer RAW data for analyses to your local server? With OpenICM, analyses function are device on your local computer and processing is done locally. This saved a lot of data communication and analyses is done while not even connected to a network.
Typical configuration
Typically the EVDL will be connected the a PLC where data is extracted via the native data communication protocol. For this no alteration of the PLC programming or configuration will be necessary. Communication between EDL and PLC is one way, so the EVDL cannot alter anything inside the PLC is it only reading data.
To overcome security issues and change in the existing IT infrastructure, the EVDL sends data via 3G connection to the desired server or host platform.
ERL sensor units can be connected via HF (High speed Fieldbus) or private LoRa / WiFi to the EVDL and so contribute to the data collection.
Easy setup & monitoring
An EVDL can be configured via web interface or Bluetooth LE. Via the Android APP you will be able to configure but also monitor and retrieve data.
The built-in Bluetooth connector enables local (10 meters max.) configuration and readout via smartphone, tablet or laptop. Field service engineers are able to access logging data, machine documents and maintenance history data.
